Bass Fishing from Bald Ibis Cottage

We have two non-fly fishing dams:

one with Large Mouth Bass and another

with both Bass and Rainbow Trout.

 

All other waters are fly fishing only.

Refer to the map below to identify suitable dams for normal fishing gear.

• Catch and Release is preferred.

• No barbed hooks (all barbs must be crimped).

• Bring your own gear.

• Do not fish if there is thunder or lightning, even if distant.

• We promote a natural environment and do not pellet feed our fish.

• Stocked waters do not guarantee a catch; nature determines fishing conditions.

• Each paid fisherman can keep one fish at no cost; additional fish must be paid for:

  • Trout: R 200.00 per kg

  • Bass: R 100.00 per kg

• Fish that are damaged or harmed must be kept.
